I am a 69 year old Black male who was born in the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago; migrated to Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) when I was 21. Since I am retired, in August 2021I decided to travel to the continent (Mama Africa) - Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda. It was an eye-opening experience in so many ways (positively speaking). I returned to Canada towards the end of June 2023 and I am contemplating heading to South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town) in December to escape some of Edmonton's harsh, cold winter. Once in South Africa, I plan on setting up an annual scholarship with AIMS (African Institute of Mathematical Sciences). This is to honor the women who were instrumental in my life - Mom, Aunt, Grandmother. On my return flight to Canada from Arusha (Tanzania) I decided to take Ethiopian Airlines for the first time. I was blown away by the warmth, grace and sincerity of the flight attendants. They left an indelible impression in mt mind. Needless to say, the food quality was first class.
